REQUIRES NVSE!!!!!

Introduction
----------------------------
Soup, in all of its forms, is probably one of the first 3 recipes created by humans, right after "Nuts Mixed with Berries" and the classic "Flame-Broiled Meat on a Stick". Making soup is an intuitive, fundamental cooking process. You could basically summarize every soup recipe as "boil what is available until it is relatively more edible". I would assume that most of us who have the luxury of playing video games also have easy access to fresh food, but historically throughout the world and in much of the world today soup is an essential survival tool in that it allows one to make tough, rotting, or otherwise undesirable food more edible. I imagine that in a wasteland-type scenario, where clean, fresh food would be scarce, making soup would be an essential, easily learned survival skill. Wasteland Gourmet gives you the ability to craft "Wasteland Soup" from any combination of broths and edible items. It also allows similar crafting of a "Wasteland Omelet" from any combination of eggs and edible items. Because cooking a steak is also a fundamental cooking process Wasteland Gourmet alters the survival skill requirements for all steak recipes to be much lower. Finally, Wasteland Gourmet adds new campfire recipes for Stimpaks, Super Stimpaks, and Doctor's Bags. The campfire versions of these recipes have identical skill requirements as the workbench versions.

Using Wasteland Gourmet
----------------------------
**If you would like to quickly test out the mod and skip the hassle of crafting the cookware and acquiring the ingredients open the console and type "set SoupDB to 1". This will remove any misc or ingestible items currently in your inventory and will instead give you a several of every item that this mod utilizes, including the cookware, its components, and all ingredients. You will still need to find a campfire, unless you already happen to have one in your backpack**

To become a Wasteland Gourmet (WG) you will need decent cookware. WG adds new recipes to craft a Soup Pot and an Omelet Pan from the miscellaneous items Metal Cooking Pot and Metal Cooking Pan. You will also need purified or dirty water, Abraxo cleaner, and a stack of pre-war money to scour the pans. The finished soup pot and omelet pan are both weapons. If either is equipped and drawn when you activate a campfire you will be presented with a container interface instead of the crafting menu. The items placed inside this container will be placed inside the pot or pan and cooked to craft the soup or omelet.

To make a soup you will need a broth and 3 food items. The broth can be any bottled water, soda, wine, or beer. The other ingredients must be 3 different food items but they can be nearly anything that is edible and a few things that are not, such as the various eggs that are counted as miscellaneous items. There are a few food items that cannot be used, such as bubblegum, but most food items will work. For every combination of one broth and 3 foods that are placed in the pot you will receive 1 Wasteland Soup. The exact combination of foods is not important. When your survival is at stake a mixture of radioactive gumdrops, pork 'n beans, and radroach meat simmered in Sunset Sarsaparilla may just hit the spot.

To make an omelet you will need one egg and 2 food items. The egg can be any of the eggs in the game, including the inedible miscellaneous ones. The food items for omelets follow the same guidelines as the soup ingredients. For each combination of 1 egg and 2 food items you will receive 1 Wasteland Omelet.

Any items that are placed inside the pot or pan that are not proper ingredients will be returned to the player after the container is closed. If there are left over ingredients they will also be returned. For example, if you place 2 purified waters, 4 food items, and a sniper rifle in the soup pot you would receive 1 wasteland soup, 1 purified water, 1 food item, and 1 sniper rifle back.

Game Balance and Realism
-----------------------------
The stats for the omelet or soup that you create always be the same, and will not be affected by the items that you put in to the recipe. This means that you may improve some foods by making soup or omelets out of them, but you may also end up with a net loss in the foods resulting nutritional or monetary value. The wasteland omelet and soup are both relatively strong food items so most of the time you should benefit from making soup and omelets. In some cases, such as if you made an omelet from a deathclaw egg (Base Value: 400), the result would be a net loss in the value of the items in your possession in return for a tasty death-defying omelet you can be proud to eat.

I put very little effort into making this "balanced" in favor of making it somewhat realistic and intuitive. Game balance is a matter of personal preference, and depends on the combination of mods and settings used and the preferred style of the player. I would prefer not to receive any suggestions related to game balance or the quantities, values, or statistics of items used in this mod.

Compatibility
------------------------------
Wasteland Gourmet changes very little and should be compatible with nearly everything.

When WG loads it uses a script command to change only the displayed name of Cook Cook's Fiend Stew to Wasteland Soup. It does not, however, edit the base form of the stew in any way. This means that you will receive the same effects when eating the soup as you would if you ate Cook Cook's stew. It also means that WG should remain compatible with any mod that edits Cook Cook's Fiend Stew. For example, mods like Project Nevada Rebalance override the record for Cook Cook's stew to add its own quality variables to it, and both Project Nevada and WG will function just fine together with their effects fully functional. The worst that happens is if you use the regular campfire to craft Cook Cook's Fiend Stew the resulting item will be called Wasteland Soup instead.

The only original game records that WG edits are the steak recipes. I use a decent number of mods and I don't have any that edit these records, but if you do use something that conflicts with these it will not affect the greater function of WG if they are overridden. WG adds new weapon records for soup pot and omelet pan, and new recipes for cleaning the pot and pan and for making Stimpaks and doctor's bags with a campfire.

Uninstalling
------------------------------
None of WG's affects are persistent, so no special uninstallation procedure is required. Disable or delete WastelandGourmet.esp and WastelandGourmet.bsa to remove the mod from your game.

Known Issues
-------------------------------
- If activating a workbench or reloading bench with the pot or pan equipped and drawn you will be able to make soup as if you were at a campfire. I am not aware of any way to detect which recipe menu is open and therefore cannot prevent this. If anyone has a tip on how to limit the script to run only when the campfire is activated please let me know.

- When the soup pot is holstered the player's left arm will clip right through the middle of it. There may be a way to reposition it on the player's body when holstered but I don't know how to do it. Again, if anyone has a tip drop it on me.
