Introduction
------------
This mod adds two new items to the game: nav beacons and a nav beacon remote Control. The nav beacons are droppable misc items. When a beacon is dropped a new map marker will be created in that spot. The marker can be used for fast travel. The remote control can optionally be used to activate an audio cue that will help you locate a beacon once you are close enough to hear it. The audio cue is disabled by default.

Acquiring Beacons
-----------------
The beacons and remote controls will be randomly available from the following merchants: Old Lady Gibson, Gun Runners vendortron, Angelo, Ralph, and the Kerr's at 188. Chet will always have them. There is also a workbench recipe that requires 1 scrap metal, 1 scrap electronics, 1 fission battery, and 50 science skill.

Possible Uses
-------------
- Avoid annoying little runs to frequently visited spots. For example, you could drop one right at Doc Mitchell's doorstep to quickly visit his house.
- Build your own campsite or abode in a remote location and add a fast travel marker
- Mark scenic overlooks or hidden unmarked areas to revisit later
- Overencumbered, but unwilling to part with things? Drop a beacon and ditch some stuff next to it, fast travel home to drop off, and return to your beacon to get the rest of your stuff.
- If you are super-hardcore and like to avoid fast-travel they could be useful for actual navigation, particularly with the audio cue activated
- Combine it with my Bury Your Treasure mod: dig a hole, stash your stuff, and drop in a beacon to easily return.
- Or combine it with my backpack mod: If the bag gets too heavy and you want to drop it and return you can

Additional Notes
----------------
- The beacons will NOT create markers if dropped indoors. They will only function in outdoor cells.
- The beacons WILL create a marker if placed inside a container IF that container is in an outdoor cell. They won't beep though.
- The maximum number of active beacons is 10. If you already have 10 beacons active with map markers and you drop another beacon it will move the oldest beacon map marker to your current location.
- The audio cue control operates globally. If one beacon is beeping they all are beeping.
- The inner workings of the map marker system is not very complex, and as a result it is not all that difficult to find ways to glitch the beacon-marker relationship. For example, reverse pickpocketing a beacon into someone's pocket will create a marker where there is no beacon on the ground, and the map marker will not follow the NPC around. It will just mark the spot where you reverse-pickpocketed a beacon to see what would happen. If you z-grab the beacon and carry it the marker will NOT move with it.
- If you get clever and end up with a stray marker but no associated beacon and you want to manually delete a marker stand within 1000 units of it, open the console, and type:

set ClearBeacon to 1

and it will be removed. This will only affect the beacon-created map markers. All other map markers are safe and will not be removed.
