Note: Cyberlazy, the author of the CASE mod, has released a compatability patch for CFW use with CASE. Use of that mod will add a ton of different ammo subtypes to your game so be sure to have a look at it.

Classic Fallout Weapons - New Vegas v3

Welcome to the New Vegas version of Classic Fallout Weapons!

This mod injects scores of classic weapons into New Vegas with new sounds and classic ammo. Iron sights have been set for all appropriate weapons and the meshes have variations for showing (most) weapon mods. Mods added by CFW require the player to convert a vanilla kit at the workbench with recipes built in. Recipes have been added as appropriate so you can craft the new ammo as well as the old. Weapons have been added to the lists, allowing them to advance challenges, work with perks and be used by Super Mutants.

If you enjoy this mod please consider endorsing it. I don't get paid for this so endorsements and Kudos are my only reward. It also helps gain exposure for the mod. More people playing means more feedback, which leads to more data for me to make improvements and tweaks with.

You will find them as you explore the Mojave and you can buy them from various vendors you meet in your travels. The leveled lists put appropriate weapons in the proper hands and scale them for level.

FAQ
===============

Q: The <insert weapon here> is chambered wrong. It should use <insert real world ammunition here>.
A: Ok, not really a question but it comes up often enough to be listed. CFWNV Adds the classic weapons as true to form as possible. The weapons are (with a few needed exceptions) chambered to use the ammo they used in the game they appeared in, not what they use in the real world. Thus the 7.62 M249, the .303 M14 and 10mm P90. This can also be adopted to address similar nitpicks that a weapon is listed by the wrong name, or company or whatever other detail that differs from the real world. This.. is... Fallout!

Q: Does this mod put all the weapons somewhere in Goodsprings and call it a day?
A: Clearly answered above, but no.. it does not. Weapons are spawned on your enemies, at vendors and looted from containers. And no, I will not create a version that dumps them all somewhere to make life easier. If you must cheat use the codes in the weapon guide (included in the download).

Q: Some of the weapons look too clean, can we get 350 year old beaters instead?
A: No. The Gun Runners and Van Graffs actively manufacture firearms and energy weapons, so that weapon can look as shiny and new as it wishes. Unless you'd like to be part of the solution instead of the problem and contribute a better texture.

Q: Any plans to improve <insert weapon here>'s textures?
A: Possibly. But keep in mind this mod adds a lot of weapons and so many textures add up on the download size quickly. I do not want the archive to swell to bursting, but I am open to improvements if you have texturing skill and would like to contribute.

Q: Can I make a compatibility patch that will allow people to use this and <insert other mod here>?
A: Run it by me first but most likely yes, compatibility is a good thing.

Q: Can I release a version of this that <insert changes tweaks here>?
A: You can ask, but chances are very good the answer will be no. Not only does this mod use a lot of outside assets (many of which I can't grant permissiuon to use in the stead of their original authors) but I also care for the manner in which it is used as well.

===============
Requirements:
===============

Fallout: New Vegas!
Optional patches require whatever they patch CFW to work with.

===============
Install:
===============

1. It does not alter game settings so most of the popular tweaks, weather and interior mods will be fine. It also works fine with mods that deal strictly with vanilla assets such as WME, WMX and Arenovalis' weapon retextures. If you are having trouble with a mod not mentioned here post it in the comments. I'll see what I can do to either make it compatible, create a patch for you or let you know the two will never coexist in harmony.

===============
Load Order
===============

FalloutNV.esm
Official DLCs go here
Other esms go here
CFWNV.esm
all your esps go here
Optional CFW-DLC esps go here
Other CFW patches go here

===============
Tools Used:
===============

NifSkope
FONVEdit
Fallout 3 ReadMe Generator
And a lot of caffeine.

===============
License/Legal:
===============

This file is provided as is and the author holds no responsiblity for anything that may come to happen from using this file.
