Description


Standalone version of the melee hotkey module in the grenade hotkey mod.

To quickly equip and perform melee attacks, press and hold the X key. Once released, you will re-equip your previous weapon.

The items supported by the melee hotkey are categorized in three groups:
  • One hand melee
  • Two hand melee
  • Hand to hand


If you carry multiple items of the same category, press C to cycle through them. To change the category, press and hold C. The melee icon will show your current selection.


You can change both hotkey settings in the MCMenu of the mod, with a few other options aviailable as well in regards to the HUD element visibility.

The following mods will be automatically recognized by melee hotkey and all related weapons are supported
  • Tribal Pack
  • Dead Money
  • Honest Hearts
  • Old World Blues
  • Lonesome Road
  • Project Nevada - Equipment
  • NVEC - Complete


Additionally, if you have One HUD installed, the Melee Weapon icon's visibility will be automatically linked to the visibility of the health bar.

Requirements



Installation



install
  • Rename the downloaded file to *.fomod and add it to FOMM.
  • Start installation of melee hotkey via FOMM package manager.
  • Activate Unified HUD project 3.5 or newer.


update
  • Deactivate old version via FOMM.
  • Activate new version via FOMM following the install steps, no clean save required.


uninstall
  • Deactivate via FOMM.
  • Activate Unified HUD project to get rid of HUD-include references to melee hotkey.


NOTE: Do not use the Reactivate option in FOMM for MHK or uHUD, that can mess up things. Instead, use Deactivate followed by Activate.
