Listening Post-Home By Gunslinger6792
What is this?
It’s Pre War military Listening Post turned home located west of the 188 and slightly north of Black Mountain. During the war the military installed a series of 2 man underground listening posts to monitor Chinese comm traffic. When the war hit one of these posts served as an impromptu fallout shelter. I created this house as lore friendly and hardcore friendly as possible. It’s not a mega house or some super vault so if that’s what you’re looking for sorry. If what you are looking for is a well done lore friendly house than you’re in the right place. This also by far my most advanced mod yet created. I’ve put a lot of work into it so I hope you all enjoy. (There’s also a few notes explaining what happened in the Jacobs town lodge. Look on the reception desk and you’ll find them.) This mod only requires Fallout New Vegas.
Where is it?
It’s located nearly due west of the 188 and slightly north of Black Mountain. You’ll see a map maker on your pip boy. You won’t however be able to immediately fast travel to it. Sorry you have to use your legs.
An alternate version of the mod locates the listening post slightly east of the Crimson Caravan compound and just south of the NV medical clinic. So that’s two different locations! If you want the listening post located somewhere else send me a PM and I can help teach you how to move the house to a new location.
About it.
This house has 3 small main rooms. To get in you’ll need the key simply look were the arrow points and you’ll find the key card.
The first room is a living/eating area with a fully working kitchen. Inside the kitchen you’ll find plenty of storage, crafting oven, refrigerator, and more. I should note that there is a terminal by the door. Activate the terminal and it will lock the door no one other than the player can enter or leave at that point. The room also has a working light switch and radio.
The 2nd room is the workshop/computer room. Here you’ll find a workbench, reloading press, and plenty of storage. The storage has named lockers for your armor and named ammo boxes for the main types of ammo you’ll most likely be using. There is also a computer terminal with an interesting back story that gives your house a history. The room also has a working light switch and radio.
The 3rd main room is the living quarters. Two beds are located here with the well rested bonus included. Storage again is also located here along with a My First Infirmary.
A 4th room is located off of the living quarters. This room is the bathroom. Besides doing the normal stuff there is also a razor that you can activate to give yourself hair cuts!

WestEmperor His mod inspired mine in part. He also allowed me to go poking around in his mod. Also the glass floor is there because he figured out a way to plug the hole at the bottom of the floor that this house creates.

As with all my house mods they are fully navmeshed and contain a back story so checkout the terminals if you’re interested. I’ve spent a long time working on this mod so it’s been a labor of love. If they’re any bugs please report them ASAP and I will fix them.
Instillation
Either use NMM and let it do its thing or Download manually. When downloading manually put the esp. into the Fallout New Vegas Data folder.
When Updating if and when there are two different versions install the new version on a clean safe. Failure to do so could cause glitches or CTD’s YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! Thank you.
