Hello everyone.
This is a little expansion for the RTS mod by arcoolka (you can find it at http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/36922). This mod adds a few extra features: most importantly, this mod allows you to hire as many inhabitans as you want. The limit is still 100, but it will allow you to rehire NPCs that you've lost in battle. Keep reading if you're interested.

- Introduction -

I made this mod mainly for myself, then someone pmed me and personally requested that I upload this file. So, here it is. Don't expect much of a user friendly interface as I didn't plan on uploading it, though from now on I might decide to regularly release new updates for this mod from time to time.

- What it does -

The most important feature of this mod is that it allows you to hire NPC's that were previously killed. That way you won't run out of citizens. However, to balance the mod, I decided to set a hiring fee of 1 GDP per each inhabitant.
Also, all npcs were renamed to "Settler", I might change this in the feature and restore the original names, but not now.

I also took the liberty of adding and modifying existing features.

About the Village supplies:
Gold and silver were moved to Searchlight Airport, they're visible as they look like gold and silver rocks right in front of the airport walls.
If you have a gold mine or silver mine, you'll receive 2 ingots per day.
You can resell the ingots for a very good price to vanilla traders or traders from other mods (they're basically ordinary items with ingot meshes and textures).
Special thanks to lordinquisitor and his modders resource for the gold meshes and textures http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/40766.
Also, if you have a workshop you can put RTS scrap metal in the crate and the workshop will convert it to 5 scrap metal and 5 scrap electronics every day.

Food Reserves:
The original Food and Water mechanics were modified. Now, in order to gain food or water for your village you'll have to put it yourself in bess inventory. Any drinks and foods will do. You can check the amount of food by checking bess inventory or by activating a house shelter. From there you'll also be able to check and see the daily consumption of drinks and food. If you run out of either, a message will pop up telling you that "your population is starving". Essential npcs will not die (merchants etc) but your ordinary citizens will! You can of course rehire them for 1 GDP if they do!

Buildings production:
Some buildings were modified in order to produce specific goods each day:
- Farm: each farm produces a fixed amount of maize each day. The maize goes directly bess inventory
- Pasture: each pasture produces a fixed amount of brahmin meat. The meat goes directly into bess inventory
- Clinic: produces a fixed amount of stimpaks daily. It will go into bess inventory
- Workshop: it converts rts scrap into scrap metal and electronics. Good for using wiht mods that require such materials to craft stuff. Crate no longer duplicates stuff

NOTE: the crates were removed as they were unnecessary. Please use bess inventory for food storage.

- COMING SOON -
I'm currently working on more features based on the happiness system. Citizens will riot if morale goes down. This feature is not ready yet but almost done. I'll put it in the next release.

INSTALLATION
Just put the files from the "data" folder in the archive into the "data" folder of Fallout New Vegas. The usual drill. Needless to say, you need to load this one after BrahminBess.esm .
Also remember to download LordInquisitor's meshes at http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/40766.
Last but not least, a clean installation is recommended if you've been using the RTS mod, especially if you have been running another version of this mod.

REQUIREMENTS

Just two:
- obviously you'll need to get the RTS mod by arcoolka http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/36922
- You will also need to download Lord Inquisitor's gold meshes at http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/40766

BUGS AND COMPATIBILITY
Please keep in mind this is still a beta. I'm not sure whether or not there are bugs in the current version. Make sure you're playing the latest version and report any bugs or issues that you find in the discussion section of the nexus. Thank you.
Also, any food items added by mods will not work. As for the rest, this mod should not be incompatible with other mods.

CHANGELOG
- 01/20/2014 v1.0 BETA - bugfixes
Not much has changed. I fixed a major bug which quickly depleted village supplies. I suggest you update immediately. I've also added some probably temporary features: the tavern now produces wine, beer, vodka, whisky while the farm also produces some water daily.
- 12/29/2013 v1.0 BETA
Some issues have been fixed and the supplies and food crates were removed. Bess inventory is used instead.

DISCLAIMER
you may modify this mod, but before you publish any mod based on this one, you should really contact me and warn me. Also, put a link somewhere in your file description on nexus and say that I'm the original author. (don't forget to mention arcoolka too as he made the RTS mod).

SPECIAL THANKS TO

Arcoolka and the rest of his community for creating Real Time Settler.
lordinquisitor for his amazing gold ingot meshes and textures.
