A MASSIVE UPDATE IS IN THE WORKS! AFTER A LONG HIATUS FROM NEW VEGAS MODDING I'VE COME BACK TO IT IN THE LAST MONTH AND HAVE RELEASED A HOUSE MOD (RICKARD'S ROADHOUSE) WITH A DESERT CAMO VERSION OF THIS ARMOR, AND I HAVE RELEASED ANOTHER ARMOR MOD CALLED JURY RIGGED ARMOR WHICH IS A MEDIUM VERSION OF THIS ARMOR AS WELL. AT THE TIME I RELEASED THEM I WAS'T PLANNING ON DOING MUCH TO THIS MOD. HOWEVER SINCE THEN I'VE DECIDED TO GO THROUGH AND ORGANIZE THE FOLDERS AND GET RID OF SOME OF THE TEXTURE FILES I INCLUDED IN THIS MOD WHICH AREN'T EVEN USED. THE SCOUT ARMOR IS ALSO GOING TO BE SCRAPPED AND INSTEAD I WILL BE ADDING RICKARD'S CUSTOM RAZORBACK ARMOR AS WELL AS HIS ARSENAL OF WEAPONRY AS WELL AS THE JURY RIGGED ARMOR TO THIS MOD TO BEEF UP SELECTION. CHEERS AND THANKS FOR THE LOVE!

from the journal of John 'Opportunity' Knox, Regulators (retired), on the D.C. Rangers;

".................Wrathful Avengers, Righteous Vigilantes, Merciless Protectors.

Those who have had the opportunity (or misfortune as the case may be), to have seen a Ranger pass sentence, and execute punishment, know that these labels may come the closest to describing the paradox of the D.C. Rangers as any other. These are NOT the paperdoll N.C.R. Rangers of the Mojave, despite the roots these 'Indpendent Rangers' have within that organization, these men are the sweeping long arm of the law, truly.

I have had opportunity, on several occasions, to travel with these people. Different ranger every time. However, each one, if it were possible, was harder and more brutal than the last. I still wake up in almost a blind panic whenever I dream about Rickard dismembering that rapist, smiling that sick, satisfied grin of his as his combat knife inched it's way up each finger and toe, knuckle by knuckle. When he ran out of fingers and toes it was on to ankles, knees, wrists, elbows all in turn. Soon enough the knife didn't do the job anymore. Rickard just tightened the tourniquet a little more, tossed the dull blade aside and reached for his hatchet. It's freshly honed edge eager to bite into flesh and bone. By the end of it I swear I was standing in 3 inch puddles of blood.

Now I aint some weak kneed girl. I was a Regulator for a good 15 years, which is about 8 years more than the good ones last. I took my share of fingers, and saw things that would turn most white as a Tenpenny bed sheet. You learn to look with hard eyes, steel yourself, but I'll be damned if I didn't squirm as I watched Rickard go on with his grisly work.

D.C. Rangers prey on those that prey on the weak and innocent, often favoring a certain method of dispatch over the rest, usually the more savage and disturbing, the more preferred. I've heard of ones that will even copy cat the bastards they are hunting. Roasting cannibals alive over a fire with a brahmin spit for example. This is becomes the calling card of the individual.

They let nothing stand in their pursuit, and punish those who do as criminals themselves. But they are sworn to follow a certain path of virtue and justice, and never harm the weak or innocent, however twisted the sense of honor. Half the ones I've met are a stones throw from the lot they're chasing, but are lawful men, and once their word is given they stick to it as if breaking will mean the death of them.

They wear this unique grey-black armor that is a hybrid of power armor and reinforced combat armor. Much of the armoring in the joints and a couple of the power armors primary systems have been stripped to allow for better movement and in order to bypass typical power armor requirements. Skulls are painted onto the shoulder pieces and a thunder bolt topped with a fist decorates the chest piece.

WHAT DO I DO?:

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make sure to read the mod description and supplied information if you are having problems BEFORE asking for help. Nothing is more frustrating than having to spell out something that is posted for all to see in the mod description. If you fail to do this simple task please don't be surprised to find some sarcasm hurled your way :) Thanks!

This is a port. This mod adds a set of lore friendly heavy armor (the "C-51s 'Razorback' Armor) and matching heavy and light helmets. As well as an energy shotgun, gauss sniper rifle, gauss infantry pistol and 10mm Magnum pistol (complete with weapon mods), from my Fallout 3 mod "D.C. Ranger Arsenal", ALL in high resolution textures (2048x2048). These items are not added to any leveled lists, nor will you find them out in the game world in any way shape or form. They MUST be crafted at a workbench. Once the ESP file has been activated you will see the items appear on the list of craftable items, however a minimum repair skill of 75 is required to craft them, and some of the required recipe items will not be found until you are into the game a little bit. This has been done in order to not break game play and keep things lore friendly.
