About this mod

Change which shoulder you view over in third person at the touch of a button!

Permissions and credits
!NVSE REQUIRED!

Third person perspective players, how often have your found yourself in a situation where you couldn't see something over your left shoulder but really needed to? Wanted to peek around a corner, except it was on your left so you couldn't? Well worry not, those days are over with the Shoulder Swap hotkey! Currently in a pre-release state to get user input, this mod will let you use the middle mouse button (Not configurable yet!) to swap which shoulder you view your character over in third person! No longer are you constrained to constantly seeing over the right shoulder!

Best of all, when you swap shoulders, the camera quickly pans from one to the other, giving a smooth visual transition effect as opposed to just jumping to the other shoulder instantly!

Please note that since you can't set your own keybind for this yet, and I figured middle mouse was the best choice (since it already can control third person via scrollwheel) you'll need to go into your Controls > Action Mapping options and unbind Middle Mouse from Change View. Again, this WILL be fixed once I get a better grasp on MCM. If anyone would like to help with that, send me a PM.

This mod will NOT be compatible with any other mods that alter the third person camera's settings, such as DynamiCamera.

!KNOWN BUGS!
Because the third person camera setting is a global game setting and not done on a per save basis, the shoulder you view over is not tied to your save. IE, if you swapped shoulders and loaded a save, you'd be on the shoulder you were looking over when you loaded, not when you saved. Minor issue but likely not fixable without some difficult (and unnecessary) work.

The issue of aim being thrown off in close range is more severe from the left shoulder than the right. It's recommended you stick to first person view when dealing with REALLY close targets. I'm talking about ones sitting right in front of your gun barrel/within melee range. Not sure how this would be fixed either, sadly. This is a general issue with the 3rd person view, I'm not entirely sure why it's more severe from the left shoulder. My recommendation, find a good place to do some practice shooting, toggle god mode so you aren't wasting ammo (tgm in console if you didn't know that...) and try shooting from various ranges/both shoulders so you get a feel for how proximity can throw your aim off. ...Or again, just stick to first person when fighting in very close quarters.

This mod was a quick and dirty scripting job, and I should note that it will hopefully be updated to feature proper config options once I learn a little more about the use of MCM.
