About this mod
This fixes the problem with the Mysterious Broadcast radio station (from the Old World Blues DLC) going silent and not playing one of the songs. It also adds a script to the radio station so that it doesn't repeat songs so often and slightly increases the volume of all the songs.
- Permissions and credits
This mod is now a part of Mission Mojave - Ultimate Edition and NVEC - New Vegas Enhanced Content. The radio station was also fixed the same way in Yukichigai Unofficial Patch - YUP. So don't bother downloading this if you already got any of those mods installed.
What is this?
It's a mod that fixes a bug with the Mysterious Broadcast radio station in the Old World Blues DLC going silent and not playing one of the songs. It also adds a script to the radio station so that it doesn't repeat songs so often and slightly increases the volume of all the songs.
What exactly does it do?
It uses a copy of one of the songs of the Old World Blues DLC so that the song plays correctly when played in the Mysterious Broadcast radio station. This prevents the radio station from going silent and makes it so the song Begin Again by the Dead Money character Vera Keys plays normally as it was intended to do. This mod also increases the volume of each song in the radio station and adds a script to it so that the songs don't repeat as often.
What do I need to install this?
You need to have the Old World Blues DLC (otherwise the Mysterious Broadcast radio station will not even be available) and the Mysterious Broadcast Fix file I provide right here.
Installation Instructions
1) Download the zip file.
2) Unpack the file into the game's data folder (Program Files\fallout new vegas\Data or Program Files\Steam\Steam Apps\Common\fallout new vegas\Data if you're using Steam). The Begin Again song should be automatically added to the Data\Sound\songs folder.
3) Select the MysteriousBroadcastFix.esp file to load when you run the game.
Why do I need the song in that directory?
From hours and hours of modifying the radio station and the song's attributes, I can only assume that the reason why Vera Key's Begin Again song doesn't play in the station is because the game has trouble reading an MP3 file that is also contained inside a BSA file. It seems to be an inherent bug in the fallout engine. Merely extracting the MP3 file and putting it anywhere else (aside from telling the game the new location) is enough to fix the problem. In this new version of the mod, I added the song file to save time.

1.1 - Removed all of the unnecessary script changes that were accidentally bundled with the original release of the mod.
1.2 - Added the music file in the download so you don't have to extract it and place it in the correct directory. Installation now only requires unpacking the downloaded ZIP file.
