UPDATE: Version 2a "AUTHENTIC Version"

=> this version requires Rocketlombax's Authentic Burned Man replacer
http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=41974

It is recommended since it will solve clipping problems with heads and hats.

The Earrings slot has been freed and the Head Wrap has been removed from the armour so you will have to use the facial hair that is added by Rocketlombax's Authentic Burned Man mod.

If you can't change your character's facial hair with the console (or simply don't want to use the console) I suggest using my Shaving Razors mod:

http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=37494

Don't use version 2a without Rocketlombax's mod if you want to wear the burned man's helmet.

The great advantage of Rocketlombax's mod is that since the head bandages are added as facial hair they won't be removed when your character is stripped of his equipment (the only other way would have been using quest items).

Thanks to Rocketlombax for the information regarding his mod and for being so helpful.

Have a nice game!

NEW in Version 2:

Better compability with replacers and more particularly Rocketlombax's Authentic Burned Man replacer http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=41974

I strongly recommend using this replacer mod as it will solve the problem with clipping and a bigger head size. If you use the replacer then use the updated version 2a instead of version 2. You should only use Version 2 with this mod if you don't want the head bandages to act as facial hair (and thus be able to remove them if you want to).

V2 is simply V1 with proper FaceGen Model Flags for the head wrap so it will show properly when using custom meshes from a replacer (with V1 you can only benefit from the textures).

Description
===========

While fiddling with the Geck I've decided to try and use the Burned Man's bandages with other armours:

http://www.newvegasnexus.com/imageshare/image.php?id=14184

I've decided to use the Ranger Patrol Armour, the Black Combat Armour and the Reinforced Leather Armour.

There are four armours to be found on Doc Mitchell's operating table. They have the same properties as the other armours in game except that the NCR Patrol Armour is not a faction armour (so wearing it won't disguise your character).

-Gecko Reinforced Leather Armour
-Reinforced Leather Armour
-Combat Armour
-Ranger Patrol Armour

Getting these armours right from the start may be an advantage (I'm thinking of the Gecko Leather Armour from Honest Hearts) but it is a single player game and if the game is not challenging for you there are some very good mods on the Nexus that will help making it more difficult.

I've edited the names so these armours won't be mistaken for the ones from the game. I've also lowered their values to zero so you won't sell them by mistake.

Another thing that is worth mentionning is the body slots that are used: upperbody, nosering, earring, right hand, left hand and hair (but that won't prevent your character from equipping hats).

If you're using a mod that add accessories that use these slots you will have to use the Geck to change the slots that are used.

Besides adding these armours, the mod will also change Ranger Andy so now he is wearing a Patrol Ranger Armour with bandages to reflect the gravity of his wounds (the armour he is wearing is an unplayable version of the one your character can use).

I may expand on this mod later, possibly add other armours and maybe change the way some of them look (I've been meaning to do something with the Ranger Patrol Armour for quite some time).

This outift will look better with a character who has been made with a playable race using custom textures (in Honest Hearts Joshua Graham is using Raider textures).

Feedback and suggestions are welcome. I'm not making brand new models and outfits so don't expect miracles -no need to ask me to make a female version either.

Also this mod requires the Honest Hearts DLC. If you don't have it you won't be able to use this mod.

Optional Files
==============

The Burned Man's hands are replaced with slaver gloves -for more of a ninja look and less of a mummy look or simply to reveal the fingers if you don't like the Burned Man fingertips or if you're using custom textures (like the Mutant skin texture from the Pitt DLC).

Also I've put a slave scarf next to the armours as IMO it looks really good with these armours.

There is another optional version with grey sleeves. The file is larger because it includes a texture. This modification will not overwrite the outfit that Joshua Graham wears or the one Ranger Andy wears.

Use only ONE esp (either the main file or one of the optional files).

Install
=======

1. Extract this archive to any folder and then copy the esp to the Data.
folder.
2. Start Fallout NV Launcher, click Data Files, and enable the .esp file.

Uninstall
=========

1. Start Fallout NV Launcher, click Data Files, uncheck the .esp file.
2. Delete the esp file.

Compatibility
===============

It should be compatible with most mods.

It will be compatible with texture replacers for Joshua Graham's outfit as long as the original mesh is not modified.

This mod works perfectly well with my Invisible Pipboy mod that can be found on the Nexus:

Known Issues or Bugs
====================

I've made sure that the arms would look right in first person but you may notice some clipping in VATS.

Regarding clipping, I've made sure that hair wouldn't be a problem whatever hair you've chosen for your character BUT only some hats and headgear won't clip with the head wrap.

Bear in mind that if your character's face is too big there may be some clipping. Be sure not to make your character's face too broad and wide.

If you equip another armour you will have to unequip the armour from this mod (you can do this at any time it has to do with the way I've used body slots to get this to work).

Please let me know if you notice anything so that I can look into it (post a comment or PM me here at the Nexus, my user name is Shantih).
