INTRO
=====

Gale-force winds whip about the canyons, picking up millions of grains of sand and grit, hurling them against your scope. The figure hulks there, 200 yards through the sandstorm, its monstrous outline painted black against the dust. A 200 yard shot, against the wind - a massive creature with foot-long claws - 4 cool, freshly packed .308 rounds lie waiting in the magazine.

The rifle barks.

One hit, the creature staggers.

Two hits, it hunches down.

Three hits, and the angry Deathclaw begins to sprint.

A cold chill runs down your spine. There's nowhere to hide, no way to outrun.

150 yards. Fear takes your hand, and the crosshairs begin to shake.

100 yards. The rifle spits its last lead gift, and the creature stumbles.

50 yards. You stagger to your feet and can see the red eyes.

10 yards. The Deathclaw lunges forwards, arms outstretched. With a roar of pain and rage, it barrels down upon your tiny form...

And collapses.
A crimson trail marks this mighty hunter's last run, as the last of its lifeblood is hungrily soaked up by the Mojave sands.

THE MOD
=======

Based on Kryth's Everybody Bleeds mod for Fallout 3, this mod is designed to be a balanced addition to your FALLOUT NEW VEGAS experience - increasing immersion and well as adding another level of strategy to the combat system. It adds a bleed-out effect to humans (including the player) and animals and mutants, as well as a special damage effect for energy weapons vs. Robots.

Every weapon that should, in my personal opinion, produce more than a trivial amount of blood now has a gradiated damage effect, which causes additional damage after a hit for up to 30 seconds, depending on the weapon, and has a visual effect as well. Weapons that are larger (Bumper Sword), produce more damage (20-gauge Shotguns), or use a large ammunition type (Sniper Rifle) will cause more bleeding and damage for longer than a smaller weapon or ammo type (9mm Pistol).

Robots do not bleed. Obviously. They do, however, take extra damage from energy weapons, i.e. Laser and Plasma weapons. A hit with one of these types on a Robot will cause significant systems damage over a period of about 10 seconds, accompanied by a visual effect. A hit with one of these types on a human/animal/mutant will cause a very small amount of risidual burn damage.

Wild animals (Deathclaws, Dogs) and certain Robots (Mr. Handy, Mr. Gutsy) with natural or built-in melee weapons can also carry a bleeding aftereffect. Basically, if you get slashed by an Alpha Deathclaw, it won't take long for your intestines to start spilling out of those gaping holes in your torso.

This mod is BEST PLAYED in combination with a mod that increases the crippling effects, I also recommend the Enhanced Blood mod by dDefinder1 for prettier gore. Yay.

THIS MOD MAY MAKE THE EARLY PORTIONS OF THE GAME VERY DIFFICULT. Or not. Who knows.

Keep an eye out for updates, and compatibility patches for use with other mods.

3. TERMS OF USAGE
=================

As I didn't actually create any new materials, this mod is free for re-use. That being said, I did put alot of hours into the programming and testing of the effects in this mod, so credit for that would be nice.

4. THANKS
=========

Without the inspiration of Kryth and referencing his original Everybody Bleeds mod for Fallout 3, there is no way I could've ever put this together.
