Description
-----------

A fast travel alternative by way of your own Vertibird, and so much more!

This mod will add the Falcon to your game. The Falcon is an experimental Vertibird from before the war. The project was abandoned due to obvious reasons.

You can find the Falcon at the Repconn HQ, look for a set of stairs leading to the roof of the building.

This is the second of a trilogy of mods, the first is JNF B.L.A.Z.E. available here:

The Falcon will work with the Blaze mod, but it is not necessary. They will both stand alone just fine.

The Falcon can be ordered to pick up any companions you may have waiting anywhere. This will only work with vanilla companions (Boone, ED-E, Raul etc). Once they are picked up they will be in the Falcon's hold. If you are using the companion sandbox mod there are a few animation markers in the hold so they will be busy enough in your absence. The Falcon can then be ordered to drop off your companions at your position. They will still be in "Wait here" mode so you will have to manually tell them to follow you, otherwise they will stay where the Falcon left them.
Any following companions (vanilla or otherwise) will follow you in and out of the Falcon, but non vanilla companions (such as Blaze) will sometimes be dropped off at a different location. However, they will join you after a few seconds.

The Falcon currently has 16 pre-set destinations to travel to (I will add more should there be enough interest) and 8 waypoint locations that can be set by the player i.e. If you have a house mod which you particularly like, you can use the Falcon remote control to set a waypoint at the house, then when inside the Falcon you can order it to travel to your waypoint.

You will find that the in game terminals will provide you with more than enough information to fully utilise every aspect of the mod, here is some of the content:

The Falcon is an experimental project encompassing a retro fitted military Vertibird, complex artificial intelligence algorithms and the recent discovery of Teleport technology by RobCo. When summoned by the test Pilot in a remote location the Falcon will receive the exact coordinates of the test Pilot and then teleport to a nearby position, therefore enabling faster travel times. Once aboard the Falcon the test Pilot may rely entirely upon the auto pilot function to take them to their destination, this will also use teleport technology which will again enable faster travel times. When the Falcon is not being used it will teleport back to the Repconn HQ Helipad for any repairs it may need.

Upon interacting with the Falcon Unit the test Pilot will be given a remote control device. Alternatively, this console has been rigged to dispense the remote control. The device uses a miniature terminal interface and can be used to give the Falcon instructions, such as the ability to summon the unit to the test Pilot's location.

The remote control can also be used to set specific coordinates which will be logged into the Falcon’s navigational array. When aboard the Falcon the test Pilot can order the unit to travel to the previously designated location, or Waypoint. All Waypoints are located in the Repconn HQ car park by default.

Once a Guard has been selected using the Guard Terminal inside the Falcon; the test Pilot can order the Falcon to deploy the Guard at their location. Due to their obvious interest in this project the Military have agreed to let us use the schematics for some of their combat robots and Androids. The Falcon uses the teleport device to manipulate the atomic structure of matter stored in the teleport buffer by the use of complex particle physics techniques. This enables the instantaneous construction of these Guards on site. Upon destruction (or when given the order to disband) the Guards will be teleported back in to the buffer for later use.

When the Falcon is not being used it will teleport back to the Repconn HQ Helipad. However, the Remote Control gives the option to set a new "Home" for the Falcon should the test site be relocated.

When summoning the Falcon the test Pilot should take note that the Falcon will always land to the East of their position, so a suitable landing zone can be established before giving the "Hail" command.

If the test Pilot should require a greater degree of control over the Falcon they can initiate the Falcon Pilot program by activating the switch inside the Falcon. This will enable the creation of two Android Pilots who will assist in operations. Once this program has been initiated it will be possible for the test Pilot to use the remote control to order the Falcon to collect any Team members or companions who may be waiting elsewhere. The test Pilot can then meet them in the Falcon's Hold or order their deployment at the test Pilot's location via the remote control.

Commands
--------

-- Hail Falcon --
Selecting this command will summon the Falcon to the test Pilot's location.

-- Deploy Guard --
Once a Guard has been selected via the Guard Console inside the Falcon this command will summon the Falcon to the test Pilot whereupon it will deploy the selected Guard. One of eight robotic Guards are available.

-- Disband Falcon --
This command will send the Falcon to the home location. By default the home location is the Helipad on the roof of the Repconn HQ.

-- Waypoints --
This command will allow the test Pilot to plot up to 8 Waypoints which the Falcon can be ordered to travel to later. The locations will be uploaded to any GPS capable device the Test Pilot may have; such as a PDA or a Pipboy.

-- Select Guard --
Once a Guard has been selected this option becomes available via the remote control. This will enable the test Pilot to select the type of guard required while in the field.

-- Set Home --
This command will plot a new position for the Falcon to return to when not in use. The default home position is the Helipad on the roof of the Repconn HQ.

-- Information --
This command will offer reading material pertaining to the project.

Once the Falcon Pilot Program has been initiated the remote control will have access to new options.

-- Retrieve Team --
The Falcon will retrieve any Team members or companions who may be waiting elsewhere. They will be asked to wait in the Falcon's Hold.

-- Deploy Team --
The Falcon will deploy any Team members waiting in the Falcon's Hold at the test Pilot's position.

Installation
------------

Copy and paste the ESP into your Fallout NV Data folder.

Activate the mod in whatever you use to launch the game.

Warning!!
If you are using the Blaze mod be sure that Blaze is loaded after the Falcon mod. As the Falcon ESP is newer its default position will be lower than the Blaze mod, so you will have to move it manually by using a mod manager.

Note
-----

Some of the textures in the screen shots are different from vanilla textures, such as the terminals. On the screen shots my terminals have an L-Cars operating system; this is not included in the mod.
A video of the mod is available here:

It’s a bit crappy, but it gives you an idea of what the mod’s about.

Thank you and enjoy the mod!
