@littlemikesc Sounds legit. As I made this, I had no information that Vault 13 is assumed to be located at Mount Whitney, so I basically tried to match the coast line, the shape of the mountain reliefs and LA. It might be not that accurate anyway, since according to the Fallout Bible the great war slightely changed some geographic characteristics, like coast lines.
Edit Checked a once more and the relief clearly seems to fit perfectly. According to the map Shady Sands would indeed be located in Nevada. This might be an issue of the game map or Shady Sands originally was supposed to lie in California until they realized that it would be too close to Vault 13 so they moved it or sth like that. Or the Wiki is assuming wrong. It's not unusual that games take a latitude here and there.
Nice, but it's half wrong. You need to streach Fallout 1 section smaller as Vault 13 is beneath Mt. Whitney & Shady Sands is a tad north of Lone Pine, both in California, not Nevada. Nice otherwise.

Nice idea, thanks for the geography lesson!
nice one
Good perspective of the area that NV takes place in for those not so familiar with the geography. Very creative and worth the endorsement. =)
Very interesting indeed....
Here's the Google Map Link and the used Fallout 1 Map.
@ShadowVampireDragon
Would love that too, but ... copy rights might stand against it.
